Overview
- Low protein balancer for good doers and horses in light work.
- Highly concentrated vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, organic trace minerals, and amino acids.
- About 5x higher nutrient density than regular commercial concentrates.
- Low intake required with added fats.
- No molasses added and no soya added.
Feeding Options
Good-doers and easy keepers (no oats)
- Top-dress onto chaff/lucerne or feed alone.
- Typical intake: ±1 kg per day for horses, ±750 g per day for ponies.
- Balance forage diets without adding extra starch or sugar.
Performance horses (add oats)
- Example ration: 1.5 - 2 kg Vitamax + 1 - 3 kg oats + 500 g lucerne chaff.
- Oats add energy but dilute minerals and vitamins, so keep Vitamax steady.
- Adjust energy by changing oats, not the Vitamax intake.
Rule of thumb: Keep Vitamax constant for micronutrient balance and use oats to adjust workload energy.
